How do I use the four pieces together?

Scrub first, in the shower, two or three times a week. Soap on the days between. Facial oil at night, three drops pressed in. Hand cream whenever your hands ask for it. The Ritual Set is all four, morning to night.

What makes this different from the other Amazon botanical brands?

Six botanicals instead of thirty, and every one of them is named three ways: the word people actually use, the INCI name a label has to print, and the region it grows in. The line is four pieces built as one sequence rather than a catalogue that grows every quarter. And the sourcing page publishes the standard and the date behind every line on it, which is the part most brands leave out.

What is ungurahua, and why is it in almost everything?

It is an oil pressed from the fruit of an Amazonian palm, rich in oleic acid, and it sinks in without sitting on top of the skin. It carries the cacao and the guayusa in the scrub and the cream, and it is most of what you feel in the facial oil.

Do the products have a scent, and is it added?

Yes on both counts. Every piece carries a fragrance, printed on the label as Parfum, built to sit with the cacao and the ishpingo rather than cover them. The direction across the line is cacao, warm wood, a green citrus lift and a trace of Amazonian cinnamon, and it reads quietest in the facial oil, where it clears within a minute. There is no unscented version in the launch line, and any listed allergen in the final formula is printed on the box.

Will it work on sensitive skin?

Patch test first, the same as with anything new: a small amount inside the forearm, left alone for twenty-four hours. The materials here are plant oils, butters, a sugar and a resin extract, which are gentle for most people and not for everyone. If your skin reacts, stop using it and write to us. You get the full amount back whether the jar is full or nearly empty, no photograph required.

How long does each piece last?

At the rate the ritual is written: the 8 oz scrub runs about two months at two or three uses a week, the 30 ml facial oil about three months at three drops a night, the 2.5 oz hand cream about six weeks in daily use, and the 4 oz bar about a month of daily showers on a dish that drains. The period-after-opening figure is printed on every box once the final formulas are confirmed with the manufacturer.

Where do you ship?

Inside the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and APO and FPO addresses. The Ritual Set ships free; single pieces ship at one flat rate per order. Handling takes two to three business days. International shipping opens once the customs paperwork for cosmetics is in place country by country, and the founding list hears first.

What if I do not like it?

Thirty days from delivery, opened or not. Unopened with the seal intact comes back for a full refund. Opened, because your skin did not agree with it, also comes back for a full refund, and you do not have to ship the rest of the jar to us. Anything that arrives damaged, leaking or wrong gets a replacement or a refund inside seven days, your choice. Write to orders@theamazonia.shop with the order number and we answer in two business days.

How long does an order take?

Two to three business days to pack, then two to eight business days in transit inside the United States. Every order is packed by hand, so it goes out in the order it came in. You get a confirmation when it ships.

What kind of products are these?

Cosmetics, in the regulatory sense: they cleanse, moisturize, and beautify. They are not medicines, and nothing on this site is a health claim. The full disclaimer appears on every product page.

Where do the plants come from?

The line is inspired by Amazonian botanical traditions, and each botanical page names the region the plant grows in. A supplier gets named on the sourcing page behind a signed agreement and their written consent, with the date it was checked. That page carries the whole standard, including what it costs us to hold it.

Do you test on animals, and do you hold any certifications?

We run no animal tests and we commission none from anyone else. That is the policy, and it is a condition on every manufacturer we work with. Certification is a separate thing from the policy: a seal goes on this brand the day the certificate exists and its number can be printed on the box, and it is named on the sourcing page with the date it was checked. We would rather hand you the policy than a badge.
