Chapter one
Nature
Cacao butter, guayusa leaf, ungurahua oil, sacha inchi seed. Four botanicals, and the smell of the place they grow in. Inspired by Amazonian botanical traditions and formulated as cosmetics: they cleanse, they soften, they leave skin feeling conditioned. Every ingredient is listed by its INCI name on the product page, including the ones nobody can pronounce.

Chapter two
Ancestry
The diamond running through the packaging is a weave. Patterns like it move between generations because a pattern is easier to carry than a page. The brand mark is a woman whose hair turns into branches and whose feet turn into roots. Nature and ancestry, drawn once.
Chapter three
Renewal
Renewal is the ten minutes of the day that belong to you. Warm water. A bar that takes its time. Three drops pressed into clean skin at night. Four products, morning to night, in that order, and nothing else to remember.
Where the story comes from

The ritual
Four products, one order, morning to night. Sugar and cacao to start the day, a hand cream through the middle of it, a slow bar in the evening, three drops of oil at the end. About ten minutes across a whole day, and those ten minutes are the point.

The founder
Paulina Aguirre
Ecuadorian singer and songwriter. Raised in Quito, family from Loja, based in Los Angeles since the early 2000s. In 2009 she became the first Ecuadorian artist to win a Latin Grammy. Five nominations in all, the most recent in 2022 for a folk album with Kichwa-language tracks about mining, oil and the land. Berklee College of Music, class of 2021. Gaviota de Plata at Viña del Mar in 2016. She runs the Mujer de Fe foundation, which does arts work with women survivors of violence.
In her words
My grandmother's generation reached for a plant the way you reach for a coat by the door, and the reaching was the whole of it. That is what I wanted to put in a jar: not a ceremony, an ordinary morning.
